The dating game is a competitive one - in order to win the heart of the person of your dreams it helps to thing of some original dating ideas, but what if inspiration just won’t strike when you need it?  This article gives you just some of my really good date ideas to get you started.

Why not take them to an aquarium?

No-one wants to seem like they are trying too hard, or pushing romance too soon.  This is a good one to try if you are unsure of your date’s feelings towards you but really want to get to know them better.  The date will be relaxed and informal and may open the door to some great conversation, but you won’t feel pressured to talk just for the sake of it, or have to sit in awkward silence.

Take them for a romantic picnic

Think how impressed your date will be when you set the rug down on the beach or on the grass in the park.  Pamper your date with some delicious treats for you both.  If you want to really have a long conversation with your date and get to know each other better then this is a superb way to do it.  Remember to listen to what they have to say and pay attention to them but don’t be afraid to show a softer side and open up and talk about yourself – a little show of sensitivity can be an attractive quality.

Go ice skating together

This can be very romantic, especially in the winter when many of the larger cities have open air ice rinks similar to the famous ones in New York.  This date could start on a friendly and relaxed basis and by the end of the date you could be skating around the rink, holding each other’s hand and gazing at the stars.  You won’t have to spend all evening forcing yourself to make conversation and you will be sure to have some fun (and maybe fall over!) along the way.
